Football senior Terron Vaughn has signed to play collegiate football at Tusculum University (TN).
Vaughn was a key piece of the Cavalier Football team this year, leading the team in receiving yards with 654 yards on the season. He earned first team MVC, All-District, and All-City honors this year.
"Only a small percentage of high school athletes go on to play collegiate athletics," said Athletic Director Jamar Mosley. "This is a testament to Terron's hardwork and determination."
Terron is the seventh football student-athlete to sign to play collegiate football in the past two years for the Cavaliers under head coach Chris Mobley.
"Terron is one of the hardest working student-athletes that I've ever coached," said Chris Mobley. "He leads by example on and off the field at all times. At Tusculum, Terron will be playing defensive back and will be teaming up with former Purcell Marian class of 2025 athlete, Justin Thomas."
